8 WWE Segments That Sucked The Life Out Of Fans

Million dollar giveaways, old men dancing, and rap battles a-go-go...

Poor Alexa Bliss, the reigning Raw Women's Champ just didn't stand a chance on Monday night. Standing in the middle of the ring with an old woman and a dorky actor/actress combo, Bliss was supposed to poke fun at Bayley's 'girl next door' upbringing. The whole segment fell on deaf ears.

Ok, so that's being kind. Alexa's 'This Is Your Life' skit was a horrendous example of what can happen when the WWE creative team expect performers to fill out a 15 minute segment with 2 minutes worth of material. Don't worry, Miss. Bliss, you aren't alone in WWE history when it comes to stinking out the joint.

Talk about sucking the life out of fans, that horrible Raw sketch isn't the only time WWE's writing team have failed to read a live audience and quit while they're ahead. The result? Unwanted musical performances, ill-placed 'celebrity' appearances and attempts at comedy so futile they may as well have cracked 'Knock Knock' jokes...

8. Machine Gun Kelly Bores Everyone

Message to WWE management incoming: wrestling fans don't want to see musical performances eat up valuable time better served for the guys and gals you're meant to be getting over. Yes, WWE is "sports entertainment", but that doesn't excuse flinging guff like Machine Gun Kelly out in front of fans to chew time on wrestling's biggest weekly show.

WWE did precisely this in June, 2015, expecting fans to sit politely through MGK's performance of "A Little More". How ironic, because everyone wanted a little more wrestling rather than pop stars struggling to shine on a platform never meant for them. How would Machine Gun Kelly fans like it if Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn interrupted their show to trade wrist locks for 5 minutes?

New main roster heel Owens received quite the babyface reaction then for hitting a Powerbomb on Kelly off the Raw staging. That was the only reaction this segment could hope to receive. Nobody was going to rush to the singer's aid after he had wasted everyone's time by singing songs they didn't pay to hear.
