It's hilarious to think that The Undertaker's debut wasn't the only surprise WWF officials had in mind heading into 1990's Survivor Series. Instead, what lay inside a giant egg was the main mystery. Everybody who purchased the show out of curiosity would end up disappointed. It was a man dressed as a turkey, seriously.

The Gobbledy Gooker may have been a fine mascot character had he been introduced on weekend television, but this was pay-per-view. Not only that, the introductory segment went on and on and on and...well, you get the point. When even Gene Okerlund can't save your skin, you know it's bad, and the Gooker was beyond saving.

By the time the oversized poultry and beloved backstage interviewer made their way to the ring for a little dance, fans had turned on the skit badly. Boos rained down on Okerlund and The Gobbledy Gooker, which is hardly a surprise given the circumstances.

Those who had been willing to show faith in the preposterous notion of a giant mystery egg on a wrestling show were slapped in the face here.
