8 WWE Stars Who Need To Go Back To NXT

Oh, Neville. Things should have been so much better for the likeable Geordie flyer when he finally got the call up to WWE.

Coming in with a big reputation from the independent scene, the former Pac made a real impact in NXT, capturing the imaginations of the fans with his spectacular athleticism and high flying arsenal.

The longest reigning NXT champion (until Finn Balor came along), Neville's feud with Sami Zayn over the title was absolute fire, with the two producing an absolute classic at NXT TakeOver: [R]Evolution in December 2014.

He debuted on Raw with a bunch of hype (and without a first name), running through Curtis Axel in a short match which was basically an excuse for him to show off all his cool moves, especially the Red Arrow, to a new audience.

However, within weeks, the exciting Neville was just another guy, not helped by the fact that he got no mic time or any opportunity to develop his character on the main roster. Doing awesome moves is something which can only get you so far.

It seemed like things would all change when the cruiserweight division was brought to Raw. As an established main roster superstar, Neville would have been the perfect guy to be one of the figureheads of the new division and yet he's stuck making cameo appearances in multi-man matches and working house shows.

A performer this unique and impressive should not be so stale. Neville needs to go back to NXT and tear it up with Nakamura, Joe, Aries and Roode.

The treatment of Neville also makes you fear for the future of Ricochet/Prince Puma if the fellow sensational high flyer does sign with the company in 2017 as is rumoured.
