8 WWE Stars Who Need To Go Back To NXT

5. The Vaudevillains

Aiden English and Simon Gotch were given a decent push when they first came up to the main roster and it looked at first like they might do very well indeed.

They debuted strong, defeating the Lucha Dragons on Smackdown, before getting to the finals of the No 1 contendership tournament for the WWE tag team titles against Enzo & Cass.

While that match ended disappointingly quickly when Enzo Amore was legitimately knocked out, the accidental finish only made the Vaudevillains look even more dangerous and despicable.

A feud with The New Day over the tag titles followed but after they came up short at Extreme Rules and Money in the Bank, English and Gotch were sent to the back of the line again.

And sadly, since they were drafted to Smackdown, the Vaudevillains have barely done anything.

Admittedly, the thing which seems to have stalled their momentum is the very real fight that Simon Gotch got into with Sin Cara backstage, and it could be that the team are being punished for that indiscretion.

However, if WWE have no immediate plans for the team, then NXT would be the best place for them.

The Vaudevillains gimmick is still one of the coolest and most unique on the entire roster, and there is a whole lot more that WWE could be doing with it through vignettes, promos and unique match stipulations.

Some time in NXT working with the tremendous tag teams of Full Sail would give the Vaudevillains a much needed boost.
