8 WWE Superstars Lucky To Not Be Released

7. Mark Henry

It's often forgotten just how difficult it is for larger athletes to carve a career as modern professional wrestlers. Not since the early 90s have sizeable performers been able to get over on their stature alone. For that, Mark Henry should be applauded.

Regardless of his career achievements, Henry should have retired by now. It was expected that Henry would hang up the boots following WrestleMania 32 in his home state of Texas, though he still remains on the payroll.

Soon to be 45-years-old and severely limited by the wear and tear caused by years of taking bumps (even more taxing on a body that size), there is no future in wrestling for Mark Henry. Sticking around to allow younger talent to overcome him in short matches would only be a detriment to a character dubbed The World's Strongest Man.

It's only a matter of time before Mark Henry is released from WWE if he won't retire on his own accord.

Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
