Theres no other way to put this: Paige is no longer useful for her original purpose. Boasting as the supreme Anti-Diva of the WWE, Paige came through and made an immediate impact by winning the Divas Championship on her first night on the main roster, defeating incumbent AJ Lee for the title in an underdog victory. She was and still is pale and attractive, with black hair and colorful highlights. Unfortunately, the unique individuality that made her stand out came out in the wash, as the Divas of old she went up against are fading into the background. She was an alternative to the prototypical Diva model in both look and skillset, ending an array of Divas talent searches where models wound up in the WWE and learning to wrestle. Coming from a devout wrestling family, Paige came in with years of experience right out of the gate. She was a wrestling fans Diva. These days, we have a vast roster of fantastic wrestling talents for women in the WWE and coming up from within NXT. Herein lies the inherit problems with the so-called Divas Revolution: some talents get lost in the shuffle. Fantastic talents, too, none better as an example than Paige. While Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, and Charlotte duke it out on the WrestleMania card, Paige has been dethroned from a spot that would have been reserved for her. In a world where the Divas mold has been shattered, everyone is different. Its a nice problem to have, and Paige was the one who kicked that door in. The best course of action would be to leave her out of any type of spotlight for several months until the obvious storyline between Charlotte and Sasha Banks blossoms and expires. Paige could take on the victor, and appear fresh and ready when that time comes. There needs to be better development with the womens storylines beyond stereotypes of lasses getting catty. The UFC has dominated off the back of Ronda Rouseys fighting spirit, and Paige could adapt a killer instinct to give her a new way to rise above the roster. Shes cut out for it.
