8 WWE TLC 2017 Card Predictions After No Mercy
1. Universal Title: Brock Lesnar Vs. Finn Bálor
With Braun Strowman in his rearview, Brock Lesnar now commences the long, grueling march towards WrestleMania 34, where he'll seemingly drop his Universal Title to Roman Reigns. We've known about this clash for ages, and while it'll likely be an awesome bout, it means we're now doomed the six months of total predictability in Raw's main event scene.
Having already dealt with Samoa Joe and Strowman, and with John Cena seemingly set for another hiatus, Finn Bálor feels like Brock's next big opponent. The Irishman is finally in a position to move forward after toppling Bray Wyatt at No Mercy, and should still be owed a one-on-one shot at the belt he was forced to vacate last August, making him a great choice for 'The Beast's' placeholder defence.
Lesnar will win, of course, but it should be a great bout. The massive size discrepancy means we're guaranteed a David vs. Goliath format, and Brock will look like a million dollars while abusing the 190lb Bálor, who'd be a great foil for the rampaging Universal Champion. Provided they don't do something stupid like needlessly burn the 'Demon' gimmick with a loss, WWE could be onto a winner here.
