8 WWE Wrestlers Vince McMahon Refused To Turn Heel

3. Jeff Hardy

In a WWE career which has amassed a total of 15 years across three different spells with the company, not once has the call been made to turn Jeff Hardy heel.

For all of his issues over the decades, Jeff has the undeniable 'it factor' which sees audiences flock towards him each and every time he's in the ring. With an explosive, erratic style and a penchant for high risk manoeuvres, Hardy has long been one of the most exciting wrestlers to watch - even to this day, where the 42-year-old's body is starting to feel the strains of so many insane bumps.

A brief spell as part of The New Brood may have been tinged with darkness for Jeff, yet the younger Hardy has never been afforded a fully fledged heel run by Vince McMahon. And rightly so, for his stint as a heel in TNA was utterly horrendous. Even at those times where WWE opted to break up The Hardy Boyz, Matt Hardy was the only one of the brothers ever allowed to venture into heel territory.

What makes the lack of a Jeff Hardy WWE heel run most remarkable, is that being with an organisation for so long and not having his character have a change of heart is a genuine rarity.

It's one thing for a Ricky Steamboat or a Tito Santana to forever remain as babyfaces during the '80s and into the early '90s, but Hardy's career has played out at a time when character turns have been commonplace - just ask The Big Show!
