9 Awesome Things We Learned From "Nine Legends"

1. The Rock Was Chris Jericho's Greatest Opponent

The film ended with Sinnott interviewing the Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla himself, Y2J. Set to full Moongoose McQueen mode, Jericho took time out of touring the UK with Fozzy to talk about his attitude toward the wrestling business, how he's been in a band since he was 12, how he never gives wrestling fans what they want, and about the angle he worked with Mike Tyson in 2010. He describes the HBK/Cena match from WrestleMania 23 as being the match that rekindled his love of wrestling, and facilitated his return, but perhaps most interesting was what he had to say about the People's Champ, The Rock. Many have assumed that, after their amazing run in 2008, HBK would be Jericho's greatest opponent, but instead The Great One fills that role in his mind. He talks about how they had one of The Rock's favourite ever matches, in Hawaii, a story Rock himself has told before. He describes good they were together:
"We had a damn good science at that point, we were perfectly matched...we'd go ten, twenty, thirty minutes... and do ten, twenty minutes of talking ... from a chemistry standpoint, both in the ring and out on the microphone, he's definitely the best opponent I've ever had."
