2. Adrian Neville As Mighty Mouse
Considering how well Adrian, erm, sorry, that's just NEVILLE is doing on the main roster, it's crazy to think just how up in arms people were before his main roster debut. As one of WWE's most promising future stars, the WWE universe who had seen him compete on NXT were nervous that his career would be mishandled on Raw. There were reports/rumours that Neville was in line for a 'Might Mouse' type gimmick. Mighty Mouse was an animated superhero mouse character whose popularity peaked in the 1950s. It's no surprise, then, that the out-of-touch Vince McMahon was the one behind the idea. Vince had apparently wanted to do a Mighty Mouse gimmick for a while. Chris Candido was a rumoured candidate in the early 90s, but he was given the equally lame Bodydonnas gimmick, instead. Every week, between December 2014 and April 2015 there was news regarding the impending arrival of Mighty Mouse Neville. Fortunately, it never got past the rumour stage. If Vince was considering it, he didn't go through with it (although they did give Neville a cape).
