9 Best Supernatural WWE Gimmicks

3. Sting

Before you even considering arguing that Sting isn't of the supernatural ilk, let us remember that his revamped, post-surfer boy gimmick was directly copied from Brandon Lee's character in The Crow, a man who comes back from the undead with superhuman abilities.

Granted, Sting's powers were different than Eric Draven's, as the superstar probably couldn't immediately regenerate his body after taking a few gunshots or falling off a 10-story building, but he was able to teleport and turn all of the lights in the arena on and off with his mind.

Sting's darker image was powered more by an air of mystery, particularly his unwillingness to speak (itself a superhuman feat for a guy who was as boisterous on the mic as Ric Flair).

And much like Draven in The Crow, he appeared to come back to the WCW with a bird as his guardian angel. Not sure if that exactly qualifies as "supernatural," but there's certainly nothing regular natural about the way he commanded that big !*$% vulture to do his bidding.
