Once his "Chosen One" push was cut short, Drew McIntyre was marginalized for the remainder of his WWE career from 2011 onward but had a nice stay in NXT in the latter half of 2012. It was right around the time the promotion was changed from a competition program into what it is today, and although McIntyre wasn't exactly a rookie on the rise, it was a prime opportunity for him to resurrect his career.

McIntyre had a handful of appearances in NXT and took part in the tournament to crown the first ever NXT champion. He even owns a victory over former WWE World champion Seth Rollins. The Scottish Superstar might have had a longer tenure in NXT had 3MB not come together, which ended up being the final nail in the coffin of his career in WWE.

Since signing with TNA at the onset of 2015, the reborn Drew Galloway has had nothing but success, headlining several pay-per-views and holding the TNA World Heavyweight Championship for a time. He is also currently killing it as a heel, so WWE should be taking notes on what he could have been for them had they utilized his talent properly.
