8. Ending Roman's Resurgence
Logically, Shemaus' first challenger should be the man he screwed over in such heartbreaking fashion - as long as he doesn't win the belt back. In order to galvanise Sheamus' reign, WWE have to put him over Roman, as much as it may pain them to do so. Although neither man is a real workhorse, their respective smash-mouth styles should compliment one another, allowing for at least a passable title match at the upcoming TLC pay per view. One possibility would be to book a tables match between the pair, harking back to Sheamus' first ever title win over John Cena at TLC 2009. Such a volatile stipulation would also allow for a slightly screwy finish, keeping Reigns strong as he moves onto pastures new (at least until the road to WrestleMania), while giving Sheamus a crucial first defence.
