During the 2015 WWE Hall Of Fame, Tatsumi Fujinami was inducted despite only a handful of performances under the WWE banner. Not having a lengthy run in the promotion doesn't seem to affect things if a performer has had a widespread impact on pro wrestling. Jushin Thunder Liger most definitely has.

One of the most-celebrated Junior Heavyweights ever, Liger made his first WWE appearance at the NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn event the night before SummerSlam 2015. Defeating Tyler Breeze, he had been welcomed to the show by William Regal. The Englishman has never kept his admiration of Liger a secret when the subject has come up in interviews.

For his contributions to New Japan Pro Wrestling and performances in WCW, Liger represents an excellent choice as a foreign induction. The man made his debut in 1984, and is one of the most respected grapplers in Japanese wrestling history. There would be no complaints if he was announced for the 2017 WWE Hall Of Fame, and Regal was the one to introduce him.
