9 Early WWE Hall Of Fame 2017 Predictions

6. The New Age Outlaws

The New Age Outlaws are one of the greatest tag-teams in WWE history. Former WWE chief writer Vince Russo said that the pair were shunted together due to creative having nothing else for them in 1997. The union was very much a last-gasp opportunity for Road Dogg and Billy Gunn to prove they were viable talents.

It worked a treat, and the team even later joined forces with D-Generation X. As individuals, Road Dogg and Gunn would never replicate the success they had together, the Outlaws were supremely over during the 'Attitude Era'. There's only one problem stopping a surefire WWE Hall Of Fame induction from happening.

In November, 2015, Gunn had his contract terminated by WWE after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs. There's still a chance that enough time will have passed by the time the 2017 ceremony comes around that Billy will have been welcomed back into the WWE mix.

Stranger things have happened, and it'd be nice to see Sean 'X-Pac' Waltman introduce his pals onto the stage in Orlando.
