9 Factors In WWE Decision To Get Rid Of Hulk Hogan

9. Cost

Hulk Hogan has never came cheaply. He's one of the most stubborn contract negotiators and was used to $10 million a year in his WCW days. While his WWE Legends deal wouldn't have been that much, it would still be significant cost to the WWE. He's one of the biggest names in pro wrestling history, and they used him in several important media and branding slots. He also featured in prominent segments at WrestleMania 30 and 31, while most recently he was marketed as one of the selling points of Tough Enough. It isn't like WWE would have been breaking the bank to pay him for all of those roles, but it would have been a significant expense in a time of cutbacks due to the Network. Whatever controversy has gone down, the decision to get rid of him would've been easier knowing the money that could be saved.
