It was May, it was 2004, and Chris Benoit was not only the World Heavyweight Champion but also a World Tag Team Champion. You could say he was doing alright, and at Backlash he had defended his World title against Shawn Michaels. Michaels got himself another shot on Monday Night RAW the night after, and Benoit and Michaels had another top quality RAW main event.

Michaels actually locked Benoit in a version of Chris Jericho's Lion Tamer at one point, but it wasn't enough to put the Rabid Wolverine away. A ref bump stopped the momentum of the match towards the end, and whilst the ref was down Michaels hit Benoit with Sweet Chin Music.

The ref stayed down however, allowing Triple H to run down and hit HBK with a Pedigree. This was no ordinary Pedigree, however, but another WrestleMania XIX Pedigree; after what felt like an age after the move. Benoit was able to cover Michaels and pick up the 1-2-3.
