We all remember Shawn Michaels telling Ric Flair that he was sorry, and that he loved him. before proceeding to kick Flair's head off at WrestleMania XXIV, ending his in-ring career (at least ending his WWE career) in the process. If you say Shawn Michaels vs. Ric Flair to anyone, this is what will come into their mind.

It is often forgotten that the two faced off five years earlier at Badd Blood 2003. The event was headlined by Triple H and Kevin Nash going one-on-one inside Hell in a Cell, with Michaels and Flair going on in the penultimate match. No, Steve Austin vs. Eric Bischoff in the Redneck Triathlon doesn't count.

It took a huge assist from Randy Orton to allow Flair to pick up the pin however, with the soon-to-be Legend Killer smashing Michaels with a chair immediately after Michaels had flattened Flair with a Sweet Chin Music. Flair had no idea what had happened.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
