Jeff Hardy vs. Shawn Michaels is another one of those dream matches that came up on the list for Michaels in the mid to late 2000s. His return opened up a whole host of matches against men who would have idolised HBK just a decade earlier. Matches against Shelton Benjamin, Jericho, Rey Mysterio, and others came and went, and Jeff Hardy was lucky enough to pick up a clean as a whistle singles victory over HBK.

It was the go-home RAW before No Way Out in 2008, an event in which both men were to compete in the Elimination Chamber along with Triple H, Umaga, JBL, and Chris Jericho. That match was to decide who would get to face John Cena at WrestleMania, and neither man was able to pick up the victory.

Still, Jeff Hardy will always be able to say he pinned Shawn Michaels 1-2-3 in the centre of the ring on Monday Night RAW.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
