The current SmackDown Live! General Manager was another regular at PWG shows between 2003 and 2009, and even made a one-night return to the company during his short time away from WWE in the summer of 2010. Whether he was billed as Bryan Danielson or American Dragon didn't make a difference to the quality of his matches, as Bryan was consistently the highlight of any and all cards he found himself on.

He was also a two-time PWG World Champion, winning the belt for the first time by defeating El Generico at Giant-Size Annual 4 in 2007. Danielson held the championship for 160 days, defending it against Necro Butcher, Austin Aries, Jack Evans and more in the process, before dropping it to Low Ki at All Star Weekend 6.

Danielson's second win was ever so slightly more emotional. At Guerre Sans Frontières in September 2009 Danielson defeated Chris Hero in an incredible 43-minute war, immediately vacating the championship after the match in order to leave for WWE. It was one of the most emotional moments in PWG history and led to the title being decided in the 2009 Battle of Los Angeles. It was won by Kenny Omega.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
