A WrestleMania favourite in everybody’s eyes, even a traditionalist such as Meltzer could not help but be left awestruck by the beautiful chaos that was Tables, Ladder and Chairs II.

Edge & Christian, The Hardy Boyz and The Dudley Boyz took tag team wrestling to new heights - quite literally - with their series of matches at the beginning of the 21st century, getting themselves hugely over on an 'Attitude Era' roster already stacked with star power.

What was amazing about their WrestleMania X-Seven match was that it managed to top what they had done before, as these three teams thought of new ways to wow the audience. The triangle ladder match from the year prior earned them four stars from Meltzer, and they bettered that with a 4.5-star rating at SummerSlam 2000. But they weren’t done there.

The creativity of the spots in TLC II was like nothing that fans had ever seen before, most notably Edge spearing Jeff Hardy - hanging from the title belts - 20 feet above the ring.

This is the only tag team match in WrestleMania history to get a 4.75 star rating from Meltzer and thus can justify claims that it was the peak of WWF’s tag team scene. In many ways, the current tag division is still suffering under the weight of following this standard.
