9 HUGE AEW Fyter Fest Predictions You Need To Know

5. Christopher Daniels Vs. CIMA

CIMA Christopher Daniels
AEW

Christopher Daniels and CIMA first crossed paths in Japan's Michinoku Pro promotion back in 2002. Wrestling on opposite sides of a six-man tag on the company's 10th anniversary show, they built a reputation afterwards, with Daniels crediting the former Dragon Gate star for helping him get comfortable overseas. 17 years later, they met at Double Or Nothing, where Daniels' SCU unit defeated CIMA and his Strong Hearts, and now, at Fyter Fest, we're getting the singles clash.

It might not be the first match that stands out on this card, but it will be one of the most interesting. Daniels has called this a chance to see if he can still go in singles matches. Having mostly competed in tags and multi-mans over the past few years, it'll be a big test of his 49-year-old body, but while his opponent isn't exactly a spring chicken himself (CIMA is 41), this won't be anything like the kind of washed-up "legends" matches we've come to expect in other promotions.

CIMA vs. Daniels will be two smart, tenured guys who know what the f*ck they're doing working around their limitations to craft something memorable. Both can still compete. Neither is as athletic as they used to be, sure, but they don't need to be. Each has mastered the craft and while they'll likely occupy similar card positions going forward, it's time for CIMA to get even after Double Or Nothing.

Winner: CIMA.
