7. Burying Flair On Nitro And Trying To Fight Him At Thunder
One of the most frequent victims of Steiner's vitriol is Ric Flair. The Nature Boy was famously the target of one of Steiner's unscripted promos during the February 7th 2000 episode of Nitro. Steiner completely went off on the former 16-time World Champion, branding him 'the biggest ass-kissing, backstabbing, butt-sucking bastard' who deserved to be in WCW because 'WCW sucks'. Steiner was told when he showed up at the Thunder taping the following Thursday that he had been suspended by the company for two weeks (with pay). Although Steiner joked about his 'paid holiday' with the boys in the back, he was furious with Flair, who he believed had convinced WCW management to reprimand him. Chasing him through a parking lot, Steiner went berserk and tried to fight Flair, who obviously wanted no part of it. Had Steiner gotten his hands on Flair, he would have no doubt wiped the floor with him. Luckily, Steiner was either held back or decided against battering him (sources differ).
