9 Minor WWE Royal Rumble 2018 Changes That Would Make A Major Difference

1. Get Stephanie McMahon Away From The Rumble

Stephanie McMahon has confirmed that she will be doing commentary during the women’s Royal Rumble. Fans have immediately jumped on the inevitability of Steph entering the match at number 30 and winning the whole thing. Could that happen? Of course it could. The Billionaire Princess always has to look stronger than the roster.

There are definitely positive sides to Stephanie as a performer, but her voice is not one of them. The women’s Rumble may well go close to an hour, and having to listen to that whine is going to be difficult at best. There are plenty of talented women that WWE could have brought in to do commentary on the match.

Stephanie McMahon shouldn’t be anywhere near the match. It needs to be about the immensely talented women plying their trade in WWE, not about the embodiment of privilege. The optimism that fans had ahead of the bout has been tempered by the fear of Stephanie co-opting the entire thing, sneaking in the back door and eliminating Asuka to win the match.

If that happens, it may well be time to hand in the badge and gun.
