6. Ladder Matches

The two mention how Vince had to plead with them to work the ladder match at No Mercy, and they leveraged their boss to get him to promise that it was the last one he would ever ask them to work. Ladder matches are notorious for the toll the take on the participants' bodies, and guys like Edge and The Dudleys have been pretty vocal in the past about wanting to leave that phase of their careers behind. That being said, they're an amazing spectacle and almost always awesome when guys go out there and put themselves at risk for the enjoyment of the audience. Jericho calls his showdown with Shawn at No Mercy 2008 his favorite match of all-time, and if you've not seen it it's a must watch for any wrestling fan. As a funny aside, just a few months after their epic bout Vince came to them and asked them to perform in yet another ladder match, this time featuring JeriShow vs. DX. That clash is notable for Chris' attempt to ride on Big Show's shoulders as he walks across the ring, which resulted in him falling face-first into a table.
