9 Most Disappointing Wrestling Cage Matches Of All Time

9. Kane Vs. Snitsky - RAW 01/31/2005

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20AQRQoIaJc If the words "Kane versus Snitsky" don't immediately send chills down your spine for all the wrong reasons, you've clearly never seen this cage match from an episode of Raw from 2005. Look, two big men going at each other will never draw the same "oohs" and "ahhs" from the crowd that a match between Chris Jericho and Edge would, and tossing them inside a steel cage only sounds like a good idea, since it adds another weapon to the big hoss' arsenals. But this match proved why that's not always such a great idea. It was, as most of the other matches in this disappointing feud had been, a big jumble of awkward lumbering with the occasional high-impact move thrown in. But this time it was surrounded by a big, giant cage that neither man seemed entirely sure of how to use. The cage wasn't needed. If anything, it was a bit of a nuisance. With the exception of Kane's chokeslam onto the cage door at the very end, this match would have been better without the gimmicks. Of course, it would have been even better if they scrapped the match altogether.
