9 Most Disappointing Wrestling Cage Matches Of All Time

2. Sting, Steiner Brothers, El Gigante Vs. Vader, Cactus Jack, Abdullah The Butcher, Diamond Studd - Chamber Of Horrors, Halloween Havoc '91

Let's see if I can adequately and concisely say exactly why this match was so godawful. The only way to win this match was to be the first to strap one of your opponents into an electric chair and pull the switch. And that part of the gimmick failed spectacularly. Also, former basketball player El Gigante was in it.

There. That oughta do it.

One might be inclined to think that any match featuring both Sting and Cactus Jack and Vader and pre-nWo Scott Hall is going to be, at the very least, a decent thing to watch. That would be stretching it, though. Because, while there were a few decent spots, it was almost impossible to see what the hell was actually going on in there, thanks to the overabundance of dudes constantly going after each other with no sense of timing and the fact that the "cage inside the cage" only helps to obscure the proceedings further.

And then there's that finish. The "electrocution" was supposed to be set off by the flip of the switch, though when the camera pans to a close-up of the switch in the "FRY 'EM" position, nothing happens. And Cactus Jack somehow manages to mistake his partner, Abdullah (a very large, bald black man) for Rick Steiner (...who is not any of those things), and electrocutes the wrong guy.
