9 NXT Talents Who Are Destined To Fail In WWE

5. The Ascension

The Ascension completely dominated the tag team division in NXT. They're going down as one on this list given they're essentially a package deal - and neither Viktor nor Konnor have established themselves as individuals in any way. You can completely tell they've adhered to every line in their poorly scripted promos since jumping to the main roster, they've attempted to get in the faces of legends and ultimately come away looking bad. Way to kill the momentum. This is one huge contrast to the days where they were carrying around the NXT Tag Team titles, where they seemed before to be a well-oiled machine and perfectly set for tag team wrestling. But things just haven't taken off since. It doesn't help that Konnor looks as though he's spent 2 years on a dirty bulk (he could do with trimming down a bit) but that's the least of their concerns. The Lucha Dragons seem to be WWE's latest flavour of the month in the tag team ranks, with The Ascension left well behind. They'll have to hope things improve, but they're not exactly in a division being taken too seriously at the moment.
