7. Longest Difference Between Best And Worst Rumble Times

Bob Backlund (1:00:54)

As of this writing, Bob Backlund still holds the third best Rumble time in history, going an incredible 1 hour, 1 minute, and 10 seconds in 1993. Backlund entered the match at Number 2 and eliminated Fatu and Rick Martel before being the penultimate person eliminated from the match by Yokozuna. This performance held the record for longest time spent in a Rumble for 11 years until Chris Benoit beat it by 25 seconds with his coast-to-coast victory in 2004.

Sadly, his other performances in the match weren't nearly as noteworthy.

His worst of these remaining four performances was in 1995, when he entered at Number 25 only to be thrown out in just 16 seconds by Lex Luger. Some quick mathematics shows that the difference between Backlund's best time and his worst time is a stifling 1 hour and 54 seconds, which is a much longer difference between times than any other superstar can lay claim to. In fact, the difference between his best and worst time would be the fourth best time in Rumble history if it were an actual performance time.

Consistency is key, friends.
