9 Obscure WWE Royal Rumble Statistics
4. Shortest Time In A Rumble While Still Getting An Elimination
Montel Vontavious Porter (0:07)
MVP didn't just eliminate one person in his 7-second performance in 2010's Royal Rumble - he eliminated two people. Well, sort of...one of those people was himself. But the statistic still stands.
Prior to entering the match at Number 14, he was attacked by the dastardly Miz, with whom he was embroiled in a bitter feud over the United States Championship. He was taken backstage to receive medical attention, and fans were unsure as to whether or not he'd be able to take his rightful place in the match.
This was, until shortly after The Miz entered at Number 16, when MVP bum-rushed the ring to ambush Miz. Though he was able to eliminate Miz, the force of his clothesline propelled him over the top rope as well, so he was eliminated as well. But that didn't seem to bother him much.
Another fascinating piece of info pertaining to this statistic is that MVP is the only wrestler to eliminate at least one person in a sub-15 second performance, as The Brian Kendrick was able to eliminate Kofi Kingston in his 15 second showing in 2009. Half the time, double the eliminations. Truly the MVP.
