9 Planned WWE WrestleMania 32 Matches That Fell Apart
2. Brock Lesnar Versus Bray Wyatt
With Roman Reigns versus Triple H looking more and more likely heading into 2016, Brock Lesnar was in danger of being an odd man out at WrestleMania. He couldn't reprise his feud against The Undertaker, and none of the company's midcard talents had been pushed hard enough to make a good opponent for "The Beast." On the Raw before the Royal Rumble, The Wyatt Family laid out Lesnar, and it looked like the question had been answered. Sure enough, they all locked horns in the Rumble match, with Lesnar eliminating Braun Strowman, Luke Harper, and Erick Rowan. When Lesnar got face to face with Bray Wyatt, though, the eliminated members of his stable rushed the ring and dumped "The Beast" out. Why it fell apart: With the top of the WrestleMania card looking weak, WWE higher-ups decided that something more than just another random and failed Bray Wyatt feud was needed. Many fans expected that The Wyatt Family would cost Lesnar a victory in the triple threat number one contendership match at Fastlane, but instead, it was opponent Dean Ambrose who dashed "The Beast's" WrestleMania hopes. That set the two brawlers up for a WrestleMania showdown, and sure enough, the match was made official on the following evening's Raw.
