9 Potential Replacements For JBL On WWE Commentary

6. Kane

Another active WWE Superstar who’d make a good commentator is none other than Kane. Over the past five years or so, Kane has become a much more talkative personality, and has transitioned from a soft-spoken monster to an eloquent and articulate authority figure. Maybe that stems from his activities outside of WWE (which includes speaking at political rallies and symposia), but what matters is that his voice is very commanding, yet he can also shift to a more sarcastic or comedic tone in an instant.

If Kane were to transition to a commentary role, you can bet that he’d speak in a very authoritative voice, and his impressive debating skills would make his opinions on other wrestlers that much more authoritative. He’d be able to back up his claims with evidence and wouldn’t descend into petty arguments like the current commentators do.

Would it be weird to see Kane as a full-time member of the commentary team? Yes, at first. However, as we have seen with previous commentators, when wrestlers transition from the ring to the commentary table, some of them tend to do much better than initially expected. Kane, despite his allegiance to the Authority and his not-so-subtle demonic influences, would make a great commentator, least of all because he has demonstrated on many occasions that he has a natural gift for public speaking.
