5. Daniel Bryan

Bryan’s future is still a bit uncertain. On one hand, there are reports that his personal doctors have given him medical clearance to wrestle, while other reports suggest that WWE’s doctors want to do their own independent tests, leaving Bryan unable to lace up his boots.

Bryan’s return to RAW on the August 10th, 2015 edition of RAW showed that, despite being sidelined with so many injuries, he's still one of the most popular wrestlers on the WWE roster. Thus, to keep him as relevant as possible, it would make perfect sense for WWE to use him as a commentator for RAW.

Not only would that keep fan interest in him consistent, but Bryan would be able to provide considerable insight into the wrestling matches that would unfold before him. As a decorated wrestling veteran who has performed around the world, Bryan has a lot of knowledge and wisdom of the wrestling business, and he would be able to translate that into his commentary.

Bryan also knows how to present his opponents as serious threats which, given his history in WWE, would do wonders to convince fans watching at home that whoever’s in the ring is, in fact, as good as Bryan would suggest they are. This would work especially well for mid-carders, who need a commentator to sell them as more valuable than they really are.

And that is something that the obnoxious JBL doesn’t do enough of.
