1. Renee Young

WWE has gone quite far in improving how women are perceived on television. Women have been, announcers, backstage interviewers, managers, and even authority figures and TV show main-eventers. So why hasn’t this trend bled into the main roster commentary team?

If there’s any woman in WWE who could combine knowledge of and passion for wrestling with a sweet charm and some quick wit, it would be Renee Young. The former host of WWE Aftermath on the Score in Canada has shown just how big of a wrestling fan she is on many occasions, and her commitment to making the WWE product as best as possible is obvious.

She has done a great job as a backstage (and in-ring) interviewer, and was one of the best of the rotating commentators in NXT. Clearly there are good things on the horizon for her, and one of those things should include a place on RAW’s commentary team. If chosen, Renee would be able to provide level-headed commentary when needed, and would make the perfect antithesis to the kind of commentary that JBL provides.

More often than not, JBL’s the instigator of the commentary table arguments, which take viewers out of the wrestling matches at hand. Renee, however, would be able to keep viewers interested by focusing on the matches.

Of course, with the whole ‘Divas Revolution’ thing in full swing, it wouldn’t be surprising if this were to happen sooner rather than later.
