Look, CM Punk might, and probably will, make it past the first 45 seconds of the fight. He might even make it out of the first round, and throw in a submission attempt or two.
However, it's more than likely that he will get steamrolled at some point.
Mickey Gall is a younger, faster man with a fair amount of power behind him. He has finished both his pro fights via submission in the first round, and he uses his speed and strength to set up those submissions. CM Punk, meanwhile, is an athlete pushing forty making his debut. He has never fought before, dealt with a couple of injuries in training, and who knows what other nagging pains he has left over from his WWE days.
All that means that odds are not in his favour. Mickey Gall has the upper hand, and if he executes his game plan the way he did in previous fights, Punk might put up a struggle, but the ending is inevitable.
