5. Zack Ryder Wins The U.S. Title
Alright, so this one was always a long-shot, but it was easy to get behind Zack Ryder largely because he's got a ton of charisma and has never really had a fair shake in WWE.
Sure, he got his big WrestleMania moment this year, but it was snatched away just a day later, and so there was a very scant sliver of hope that he might finally get his time to truly shine and somehow be able to defeat Rusev.
To WWE's credit, they at least gave Ryder a strong showing against Rusev here, almost powering out of the Accolade and not merely being squashed by the Bulgarian Brute. Even so, given how they don't really know what they have with Ryder, a win here would've been absolutely huge and undeniably got the crowd going.
