9 Quick Fixes That Would Have Improved WWE Battleground 2016
1. Ditching The Pointless Filler
Overruns are becoming a distressingly common element of WWE PPVs, and though it's great that thanks to the Network they aren't restricted by PPV providers anymore, it can result in some self-indulgent additions which only kill a show's pacing.
Case in point, before the main event there wasn't only a Chris Jericho Highlight Reel segment featuring Randy Orton, but fans had to sit through Mick Foley, Stephanie McMahon, Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon heading to the ring, such that there was more than half an hour between the end of the six-man tag and the main event.
While the Highlight Reel segment was entertaining to a point, it felt like something that honestly belonged on Raw, and let's face it, if you're European in particular, knowing that the show wouldn't be ending on time was just agonising.
