One of the most important attributes a talent can have when trying to ascend the career ladder in WWE is to be a prominent talker. Mastering the microphone is a skill that virtually all the greats have managed to pull off, and if you look back through history there are very few top stars that weren’t at the very least above-average talkers with an innate charisma about them.

Even the aforementioned Styles, a man who has always been thought of as a workhouse in the ring and a less-than-stellar character outside of it, has really hit his stride during his WWE run and shown a side of himself that many observers were skeptical even existed. To be in the upper echelon of WWE superstars one has to command attention through promos.

There are few as skilled as Bray Wyatt.

When you talk about the top promos in WWE today, you’re looking at a short list of Paul Heyman, Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, John Cena, and a few others. But somewhere at the top of those names, if not the number one talker himself, is The Eater of Worlds. While he’s sometimes criticized for the content of his promos – a knock more deserving of being leveled at the creative team rather than Bray himself – there can be no denying that when he talks, people listen.

It will be a treat to have such a gifted orator as the centerpiece of SmackDown and will allow him to breathe new life into his character and to his promos which admittedly can be a bit redundant at times.
