9 Reasons Steve Austin Was Better In WWE Than Hulk Hogan
1. He Created More Memorable Moments
And he did it in a shorter amount of time.
To be fair, I'm not arguing that Hulk Hogan was a slouch in this department, as he certainly created some of the most iconic moments in the history of the business. No one will ever forget the buzz of the arena when the Hulkster picked up Andre the Giant and slammed him to the mat at WrestleMania III - and to a much lesser extent, when he did the same to Zeus at SummerSlam '89.
His feuds with Randy Savage, Roddy Piper and others created some legendary moments as well.
But watching Stone Cold's initial seven years with the company is like watching an actual highlight reel. The first Austin 3:16 promo, the bloodbath with Bret Hart at 'Mania 13, the 'PIllman's Got a Gun' segment, the arrest after stunning Vince McMahon in front of police officers, the confrontation with Mike Tyson, the beer bath, the cage match against Mr. McMahon, Bang 3:16, beating Mr. McMahon up in the hospital (with a bed pan, no less)...
I could go on and on and on.
Hogan gave us some historic moments, for sure, but if we're judging solely on the quantity, Austin takes the crown here. It's just another reason why he has the edge over Hogan, in my opinion.
