There was a spell in the naughties where we had the likes of John Cena, Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho battling each other with a proper storyline, but since the Summer of Punk, we've been stuck in the old routine. WWE hire seemingly hundred of bright minds in their fabled creative teams, but it seems that they are all instructed to come up with each and every conceivable way to include an authority figure in a storyline.
