Viewed with the power of retrospect and analysed to death via repeat viewings that exposed the match for what it really was beyond the superficial 'Legend vs. Returning McMahon' billing, the Hell In A Cell encounter between Shane McMahon and The Undertaker from last year becomes sobering.

Plainly, an ageing Undertaker was not the right man to bring out the best in Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 32, and vice versa.

Those who didn't enjoy 'Mania 32's retread through 'Attitude Era' nostalgia will be dismayed that AJ Styles has been programmed with Shane, seemingly only so the SmackDown Commissioner can have another stab at the biggest show of the year, but the match between McMahon and Styles has one shining beacon of hope.

AJ Styles is one of the best pro wrestlers in the world, and it's almost impossible to imagine he won't be excited about facing a McMahon family member at WrestleMania; Styles, as one of SmackDown's top heels, is also in the ideal position to win the bout and give himself ultimate bragging rights over the next few months.

Who could have ever thought that the ex-TNA star would be poised to beat a McMahon at 'Mania? Those worries about match quality should be set aside, because Styles has already shown that he can have great matches with just about anybody.
