3. His Inability To Handle Criticism Just Makes Things Worse
Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler (and Michael Cole, JBL, etc.) will be nowhere to be found when Punk makes his octagon debut sometime later this year, and Joe Rogan isn't about to "sell" any of Punk's moves inside the cage. Outside of the UFC octagon, Punk will be torn apart by critics following his debut, who will dissect every move he makes, every mistake and error in judgment he displayed in the fight, often with handy animated GIFs. Thus far, CM Punk has shown an inability to handle criticism surrounding his MMA venture. He has melted down when journalists have asked what discipline he is focusing on in training, and calls any fan questioning his jump to the UFC a "critic" or worse. However, he's entering a world with no pre-scripted outcomes, where the "face" doesn't have a win stolen by a quick count or interference from some dastardly manager. In short, he's going to have to face a lot more criticism in the months to come, and that doesn't bode well for his career long-term.
