The main event of No Mercy has seemingly got the entire wrestling world salivating. Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman will do battle over the WWE Universal Championship, and it sure ain’t going to be pretty. The match is going to be short, and it is going to be violent. It will be a human car-crash as two giant men run head on into each other, over and over again. The crowd will be hot from start to finish, as they should be.

It is unlikely that Strowman will walk away from the Staples Center with the WWE Universal Championship over his shoulder. But even if he isn’t successful, it is imperative that Strowman does not go the way of Samoa Joe back at Great Balls of Fire. Joe looked great in a six-minute loss to Lesnar, but Strowman is a different beast altogether. He must be treated as such.

It is best for all involved if these two behemoths beat each other into oblivion, leading to a huge finish that leaves both men down. Whether that is a powerslam off the stage, a spear through the entranceway at the top of the ramp or something else is irrelevant. Braun Strowman is a major star in waiting - feeding him to Lesnar will kill him to a degree.

WWE has lightning in a bottle with Braun Strowman, and they also need to protect Brock Lesnar’s aura. A hugely dramatic double KO is the only way for this show to end, and it isn’t often you get to say that.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
