9 Things That Must Happen At WWE No Mercy 2017

3. Bray Wyatt Does What Bray Wyatt Does - Loses

Is anyone staler in WWE today than ‘The Eater of Worlds’, Bray Wyatt? Bray’s career has nose-dived ever since Randy Orton burnt down his compound. Wyatt entered WrestleMania 33 as WWE Champion, but since losing the belt to Orton he has done a whole lot of nothing, aside from lose credibility on a regular basis.

Wyatt needs to turn babyface and he needs to do it fast. Bray takes on Finn Bálor at No Mercy in what will undoubtedly be an entertaining match, albeit one that the crowd won't show much interest in. Bálor is more valuable to WWE right now, and the former Universal Champion must come out of this feud on top.

Bálor is somewhat stuck in the middle of RAW at the moment, but he is still fresh enough to survive this brief turn in purgatory. Hopefully the Irishman will move into a more prominent position before 2017 comes to an end.

But what now for Wyatt? A babyface turn and a run at the Intercontinental Championship maybe? A hand in breaking Matt Hardy? More treading water in the middle of the card? If he continues as a heel, I fear for whichever babyface he comes up against next.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
