9 Things To Expect With TNA's New Ownership

8. A New Creative Team Will Emerge

A new creative team is absolutely assured, as Dixie Carter doesn't have a say in the on-air product anymore, Billy Corgan was ousted from the company this past week and long-time creative team member Dave Lagana has resigned.

Lagana had been with TNA since 2011, and while the product never grew while he was on staff, he seems to have been a respected name backstage. His “Formerly Creative” podcast was entertaining, and it showed that he had a good mind for the business. He never had full-control in TNA, though, and was at the mercy of the management team above him, like Eric Bischoff, Bruce Prichard and John Gaburick.

Gaburick is still one of the top guys backstage, which for many isn’t such a good thing. Corgan wanted to oust him from the company, and A.J. Styles was not a fan of his either. He seemed to have no problem leaving the company when the former WWE producer was placed in a prominent position that many felt he was unqualified for.

Someone is going to have to replace Lagana, but will the entire team be tossed aside as well? We should find out soon. While we can be cautiously optimistic that a new team would instill some positive changes, it’s perhaps best to brace for the worst...

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
