Retrospectively, a battle between Ted DiBiase's fake Undertaker and the genuine article should not have headlined SummerSlam 1994; 'The Undertaker vs. The Underfaker' was never going to top a heated Steel Cage war between Bret and Owen Hart.

For months before the event, the headliner was supposed to be kept secret, but those who took part in a cross-promotional campaign the company started with Dominos Pizza knew about the match long before it was announced on television.

Striking a $250,000 deal with the pizza outfit meant the WWF weren't the first to leak the news on SummerSlam's main event; fans who bought items through the promotional campaign were told about Undertaker vs. Undertaker before Vince McMahon could gleefully announce the match on Monday Night Raw.

Prichard admits this was slightly regrettable, but in the age before the internet really caught on it was also forgivable to take such a risk for the quarter of a million dollar revenue the WWF made.
