9 Things We Learned From Bruce Prichard's Undertaker 1993-1994 Podcast
2. Jerry Lawler Drew The 'Fake' Undertaker's Tattoos On His Arm
Brian Lee was the one called upon to play the part of Ted DiBiase's fake Undertaker at SummerSlam 1994, but the future Chainz was a few inches shorter than the real deal and naturally didn't have the same tattoos on his arms that Mark Calaway did.
That's where Jerry 'The King' Lawler came in; piping up when 'The Underfaker' was in his makeup chair one day, the legendary announcer said he could draw the ink onto Lee's body to make him look more like the real Undertaker.
Spending a few hours on this before each appearance for Lee, the arty magic of Lawler paid off and everyone was delighted with the results; sadly, the King couldn't stretch Lee so that he was the same height as Calaway, but the added artwork did help sell the notion that he was a carbon copy of Paul Bearer's client.
Bruce Prichard remarked during the podcast that Jerry Lawler was a tremendous artist, and his work even had some behind the curtain in the WWF fooled as to Lee's real identity.
