Vince McMahon wasn't the only person whose eyes Bret pulled the wool over; he managed to delude Magee as well.

The match may have taken place even before Hulk Hogan body-slammed Andre the Giant, but Tom still remembers exactly his reaction at the end. "It felt like, 'Oh, I've been trained to do this'" he recounted, truly believing that the ring was where he belonged. "I was euphoric."

For whatever reason, that euphoria didn't sustain a lengthy run in the business for the Manitoba native, in the way the draw of the crowd so often proves addictive. But for at least one night, Magee was walking on clouds.
