8. Chris Benoit In The Million Dollar Corporation

The Million Dollar Corporation may not be viewed as one of the all-time great wrestling stables, yet Ted DiBiase’s villainous group had some memorable moments during its two-year run.

Formed in 1994, DiBiase amassed Bam Bam Bigelow, Sycho Sid, 1-2-3 Kid, King Kong Bundy, Tatanka, I.R.S., Nikolai Volkoff, and even technically The Ringmaster as just some of The Million Dollar Corporation’s members throughout its lifespan. One person who so nearly became a paid-up member of DiBiase’s stable of heels, was Chris Benoit.

Back in 1995, the then-WWF tried Benoit out as a member of The Million Dollar Corporation during non-televised events. Accompanied to the ring by DiBiase, the Canadian was seen as a great addition to the WWF and somebody who would benefit from having The Million Dollar Man as a mouthpiece.

Benoit in the WWF was short-lived at that point, however, and he’d never make it to TV as part of Ted DiBiase’s stable. Instead, he would opt to sign with WCW in 1995 – supposedly down to the fact that the deal would allow him to continue to work dates for New Japan Pro Wrestling - before eventually jumping to the WWF in 2000.
