Karl Anderson is no different to the overwhelming majority of professional wrestlers. He grew up as a wrestling fan, and his geography defined whether he leant towards the World Wrestling Federation or World Championship Wrestling/National Wrestling Alliance.

For Anderson, growing up in North Carolina meant one thing.

Chances are that if you are reading this article you are aware of North Carolina, but you might refer to it by a different name as 'Flair Country'. Unsurprisingly, Ric Flair was Anderson's favourite professional wrestler growing up, a fact that Anderson admits is true without question.

Interestingly enough, it was a match between Flair and The Great Muta that really grabbed Anderson to the world of professional wrestling. The symmetry of pro graps never fails to amaze me.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
